The Arts Awards are certified by Trinity College, London. The awards focus on self-direction and exploration, building on the students’ passions, interests and curiosity. The Trinity arts awards can include any creative media, from painting, drawing and photography, to music, game design and dance. 

Our specially qualified teachers support students to achieve four different awards: 

7-11yrs: Discover & Explore

11yrs +: Bronze & Silver

DISCOVER ARTS AWARD​

To achieve a Discover Arts Award, children collect evidence in an individual arts log of their experiences of:

  • Participating in arts activities
  • Researching artists and their work
  • Sharing their arts discoveries

Typical age: 7-11yrs

Recommended time to complete: 20 hours

Takes place: In usual Arts Classes

EXPLORE ARTS AWARD​

To achieve an Arts Award Explore, children collect evidence in an individual arts log of their experiences of:
  • Active partication in a range of arts activities, including a personal response about what they have learnt from taking part.
  • Experience of arts organisations, artists and their work.
  • Creating a piece of art work
  • Identification of what they have enjoyed and/or achieved, and their communication of this to others .

Typical age: 7-11yrs

Recommended time to complete: 25 class hours + 10 independent learning hours

Takes place: In usual Arts Classes

To achieve a Bronze Arts Award, young people collect evidence in an individual arts log or portfolio of their experiences of: 

  • Developing their interests, knowledge and skills through actively participating in any art form
  • Experience of at least one arts event/experience as an audience member and their review of that event/experience
  • Researching the career and work of an artist or craftsperson that inspires them
  • Experience of passing on an arts skill

 

bronze arts award

Typical age: 11yrs +

Time to complete: Weekly 1 to 1 tutorials for 12 weeks + 20 independent learning hours. 

Takes place: In weekly 1 to 1 tutorials arranged at mutually convenient times. 

Course dates: September 2021 until December 2021.

Cost: £99/month for 3 months

silver arts award

Typical age: 11yrs +

Time to complete: Weekly 1 to 1 tutorials for 24 weeks + 35 independent learning hours

Takes place: In weekly 1 to 1 tutorials at a mutually convenient time. 

Course dates: January 2022 until July 2022.

Cost: £95/month for 6 months.

To achieve a Silver Arts Award, young people collect evidence in an individual arts portfolio of their experiences of:

Arts practice and pathways

  • Identifying and planning an arts challenge
  • Implementing and reviewing their arts challenge
  • Reviewing arts events/experiences and sharing their views
  • Researching future opportunities and careers in the arts

Arts leadership

  • Identifying a leadership role and planning a leadership project
  • Planning the practical issues
    being an effective arts leader
    working effectively with others
  • Reviewing their project and the development of their leadership skills
